Scott County offices will be closed Tuesday (12/24/24) and Wednesday (12/25/24) for Christmas and Wednesday (1/1/25) for New Year’s Day.
Meridian Waste will operate residential garbage collection on the following schedule for the two weeks including Christmas and New Year’s Day:

PLEASE DO NOT BE OUT ON THE ROADS UNLESS HIGHLY NECESSARY SO THE EMERGENCY VEHICLES CAN GET TO AND FROM THESE AREAS AS NEEDED.

At this time the Board of Supervisors apologize for the inconvenience and inconsistency with the garbage pick up days, and also the residents that have been missed for the last couple of weeks. After deep discussion between the Supervisors and Arrow Disposal, they have came to a conclusion to hopefully resolve this garbage issue.

WINTER WEATHER UPDATE | Jan. 15
Here’s what to expect:
-Sleet and freezing rain accumulations are possible.
-Travel impact is likely with light icing of roads, bridges and overpasses.
-Low temps (10 to 18-degrees F), with wind chills as low as -10 to 1-degrees.
-Possible danger to exposed pipes.
Monday night (6 p.m.) through Tuesday morning (6 a.m.)
What can you do right now?
The forecast will continue to evolve; however, it's important to prepare by:
-Seal windows & doors.
-Insulate pipes.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but the county is down one truck due to mechanical issues, at this time. This can/will effect all districts inside Scott County. With this delay, garbage routes can be delayed 1 day behind at this time.

Scott County is preparing to replace the culverts on Riverbend Road between Hwy 25 and Doc Webb Road. The roadway will be closed to traffic between the Dollar General and Hwy 25 beginning the week of October 16th for approximately 2 weeks.
